Dog Dog

Disclaimer: I was not sponsored to make this review, all opinions are my own and everything I mentioned was paid for by my own hard-earned money!
I haven't written a shop spotlight in so long, but I decided to write one about one of my favorite online shops, Store Dog Dog! It's a Chinese based online store that sells different types of clothing that caters to a lot of different styles! They have free shipping and the prices are really affordable and they also have a discount code ("DOGDOG" gets you 10% off of your order over $20!).

To date, I've made 3 orders with them and I've been extremely pleased with each order and the arrival time! This post will show-off some of their products in store and also I'll show off the order I've made with them recently because it arrived today!~ So on with the post!!
Some of my favorite products from them are down below and if I'm not mistaken nothing is over $30, so like I saidStore Dog Dog is really affordable!
Many of this shop's products are from Taobao, which is a basically a Chinese eBay! Click here to look at all my posts about Taobao (how to order from there, my hauls, etc.) The pricing is very similar if not just a few dollars more than ordering from Taobao itself which is why I love Store Dog Dog so much! Most resellers hike up prices like crazy just because they know a lot of people don't know how to shop directly from their supplier! A shop known for this practice is Inu-Inu, who I've never shopped from and never will. You can find more information about Inu-Inu and their malpractices here, but I'm not going into details on my blog. I just really don't recommend them at all

This was my recent order! I decided to splurge a little bit for myself this time

Placed Order: September 19th, 2015
Shipped: September 21st, 2015 (Monday)
Delivered: September 26th, 2015 (Saturday)

This was the fastest I'd ever received an order from Dog Dog, but on average I usually get my package a week and a half after it's shipped! You get your items extremely fast and it's free! (They have DHL for a lot extra, but this standard shipping was amazing!)
I got this holographic iPhone 6 case (they also have 5 & 6+ cases like this!) because I'm planning on upgrading to that within the next two weeks! I expected it to be a hard case, but it was a thick plastic one that bends, while the "holographic" part was just a shiny cardboard placed in a clear case! I like it well enough and it was only $6.95 so I'm happy!
I've been waiting a long time to order this crop top because I never really knew what else to order with it! I'm really glad I ordered it this time because it fits me well and the heart stays together for the most part! The material is a thick cotton that stretches a lot, but the neckline is kinda tight! Not tight enough to choke me, but if it was a size smaller I would've died probably (lol just kidding, but seriously it's kinda tight). The only strange thing about the top was that there was a faint yellow-ish stain all around the heart cut-out, but I'm almost positive that it's like that because it was burned to cut out the heart shape or the edges were burned so there wouldn't be any frays or loose ends :> It's barely noticeable and the top was about $9.95 so I'm really happy overall with this!
I've ordered a tennis skirt from Dog Dog previously (the pink plaid one) and I made sure to pay attention to the size chart that's provided! I went with the size that was closest to my waist size (size up if you're between like I did!!) and it fit me perfectly ♥ Of course, being folded caused it to be a bit wrinkly, but that's nothing an iron can't fix!~ I'm unsure if the sizes of the skirt are really consistent with all of them, but they're close. This skirt fit me a teeny bit large even though it was the same size as the other skirt I got, both were $12.95 each!
The skirt I was waiting for Dog Dog to put on their site was this one! They uploaded the lavender option a week before this, but I saw it on Taobao and knew they'd upload the pink eventually and they did!
This was a "ONE SIZE" skirt, but the waistband is very stretchy! The size chart says it can fit up to 32 in waists!! I found the color to be really similar to what was shown on the website, a peachy pink color!
The heart cutouts were very neat, and there was a short slip underneath! I'm about 5'2.5 and it hit me around mid-thigh and it was a really consistent length all around for me (which usually doesn't happen for skirts on me!)! Iadore this skirt, the quality is amazing, and the material was a thick, soft cotton. It was only about $17.95 and I can't wait to wear it out, I'm even planning on picking up the lavender version my next order!
I really recommend you check out Store Dog Dog (and don't forget to use the code "DOGDOG" for 10% off your orders over $20!!), they work really hard to make people happy with their orders, have fast shipping, and wonderful products!

Kawaii Christmas Sanrio Mascots

Hello there Kawaii Kittens. I guess its rather fitting to be doing this post as with it slowly turning into the month of all Christmas like stuff and it is spotted everywhere. As you know I often do Christmas Kawaii style , so when this parcel came in the post for me I was over the moon. Mixing Christmas and Kawaii is just the most amazing combo ever! All these items are from Cool_Nippon*. My all time loved and favourite seller on ebay. Get ready to feel all kawaii and Christmas like!

Here we have the well known Hello Kitty - the Kawaii queen herself. Dressed in her elsa snow like cape and instead of wearing a bow, she is wearing a shiny colour changing when the light hits it- snowflake.  She is adorable with her pink body and glittery shiny-ness all over. And she even has a faux fur like trim with her snow cape.

Ita Bags - The Next Big Otaku Trend?

Online, more and more pictures of bags heavily decorated in anime badges have recently increased.

The nickname for this new trend is "Ita bag" or "Painful bag" (Since the bags get heavier decorated in badges)

The bags themselves are usually tote or school bags. Each bag tends to focus on one anime character that the owner loves however more then one character can also be seen. The bags are used to express their love for an anime character or series. Since the idea is to cover the bag, it can be an expensive hobby.

While in Japan you could easily get one badge for 200 yen (About £1.20) however online or at conventions the price of one bage can be higher. Also the plushies or keyrings used don't always come cheap.

Helpful links:

If you want to join in on this new trend here are some helpful links to places selling badges that are not too pricey to make your own bag!
  • Aliexpress has a wide range of badges ranging from Attack on Titan, Naruto  to Black Butler and more.
  • eBay also has a wide collection of badges however they might not  be as cheap as ones on Aliexpress however there is a lot of options to choose from.
  • Etsy and Storenvy both features a lot of different designs

So what do you think? Do you think this might be the next big trend. Have you decorated your bag like this?

Toronto's first cat cafe! TOT The Cat Café!

Hello everyone!
What a better way to start off a new start of the blog then a post about cats.

So the other day, I finally managed to check out Toronto's first cat cafe. It's called TOT The Cat Cafe. I'd been hearing about it for weeks but it wasn't until about a month ago that their doors finally opened. And let me tell you, I was ecstatic.

Being the huge animal person I am, my first thought was, "Are the cats treated well?" I had heard some of the awful stories about some of the cat cafes in Japan. Apparently not all of the kitties are treated kindly. I definitely didn't want to be supporting a cause like that.

But after doing a little Googling, it was clear to me that this particular cafe was more focused on the wellbeing of their cats than making money. Plus, all the cats had come from the Toronto Humane Society and were adoptable!

A friend of mine had gone about a week earlier and warned me it was very busy. She wasn't kidding. Upon first stepping inside I was met with a wall of people. It didn't help that the cafe was very narrow. On top of that, my mom and I were on a 40 minute waiting list (from what I've read they are working on a reservation system). But I'd rather see the place crowded than dead quiet!

Like many of the cat cafes in Japan, the cafe area and place for the cats were in separate rooms. This is for food and health reasons of course (but I'm used to a little cat hair in my food anyway ahaha). Though the little room to pet the cats was all glass so we were able to watch the cats in anticipation as we waited for our name to be called.

Their menu, which was on a giant, black chalkboard close to the cash, was so adorable with names like 'Black Cat Mocha' and 'Calico Macchiato' accompanied by little cat doodles! I've read that when they get the kitchen up and running, sandwiches and soups will be available as well. My mom and I each got a medium Orange Pekoe tea and a slice of strawberry cheesecake.

We sat around with our drinks and snacks until our names were called. You're allowed to bring your food/drinks in with you as long as you don't share it with the felines.

As we followed an employee towards the cat room door, he warned us that groups were only allowed 15 minutes inside the cat room. We were also told there could be no flash photography, we could pick up and pet cats but at our own risk (Meaning that they weren't liable for any battle wounds) and that we had to remove our shoes and wear special slippers inside. Now when I heard slippers, I cringed. I was having flashbacks about the slippers I'd had to wear in museums and restaurants in Japan that were embarrassingly too small (I have size 10-11 feet after all). But I was relieved to see that they had a large variety of sizes that were big enough for me.

 So cute! ;u;

There was a door and a gate to get inside the cat room. Once the first door was shut behind you, you could open the gate to get inside. Just in case aha!

The cat room had about 5 cats inside and was decorated with cat themed cushions and a variety of cat toys and structures.

I actually asked a lady working there if she knew where they got those cushions from haha

For the most part, I let the cats be. I could tell that some of them were quite people tired and after hours of humans squeezing, picking up and playing with them, the majority of them were ready for a nap. My mom and I wandered around the tiny room, taking pictures and petting the odd cat that walked past us (I know, so boring ahaha).

Although some of the cats were quite exhausted by the end of the day, it was nice seeing them be able to wander around, interact with each other and with humans. It was better than being in a cage at a shelter. And from what I had been hearing and seeing, cats were being adopted fairly regularly!

The cats seemed to be quite happy and found little places they could sneak off to when they had had enough.

So, if you're in the area, is the TOT Cat Cafe worth checking out?
Yes! If you're someone who can't have cats, is looking to adopt a cat, doesn't want one but wants to be around cats occasionally or you just love cats in general, this is definitely the place for you.

The TOT Cat Cafe genuinely cares about their cats and their main goal is to get them adopted! Hence the time restriction. As much as I'd love to sit in there for hours, I understand that they want to make sure everyone gets a chance with a cat in case anyone is looking to adopt.

Weekends appear to be super busy though so I suggest coming during the weekday if you can. They are open 10am-8pm Monday through Sunday.

Tsunacon 2015

This year I'm just like last year went with my friend to Tsunacon.
There, I bought among other things met people and made photos and of course I make a review there again. This year I was not really into cosplay but more just in a kimono with a tail and cat ears on (the ears are made by my friend jellowpaw). I'm half past 10 left for Tsunacon. the convention began at 10 am according to my but we got there at half past 11 at. First I went with my girlfriend to the 'make your own cosplay workshop' '
This resentment shop took an hour and was very informative and you learn a variety of techniques and cost you nothing. In the end I was first behind a sewing machine sit this was initially not quite right but the second time it went according to my 'teacher' 'perfect. This I like to hear.
Then we went to the dealer room where Isabel I immediately went searching. Isabel was almost in the same place as last time. What do I bought mandate.
• A Nendoroid that an arm missing in original box normal 40 I got it for 15 euros.
• Mostcutest blindbag for 12 euros.
• Glaceon Buton Isabel for 1.50 euros.
• 3 large buton for 1 euro each.
• Apple Jack Buton 1.50 euros. (They had no rianbow dash more)
• Photograph ordered Nozlan for 2 euros.
• Aniway number 31 4 euros.
As you see I have not bought a lot.
Then my friend and I are going to walk around with people I know and we took pictures. Here after we went to the Pokemon quiz which was very difficult but also fun. Did you know that HP hitpoinst meant? Well I thought so health points and my friend who really knows all pokemon too. Here after we ate delicious japanese and when we went to take pictures nozlan this was very nice although it was very very hot in that room by the lamps. Then came something that I've waited all day on the AMV competition because I took part in that competition, unfortunately, I do not know if I won or not.
This was it for Tsunacon 2015 to next year everyone
